Kinetic Energy (K.E.) is the energy of movement. A moving car has K.E.

Potential Energy (P.E.) is stored energy. A mango hanging high on a tree has Gravitational Potential Energy because of its height. When it falls, that P.E. converts into K.E. (speed).
