Pitch is how high or deep a sound is. A whistle has a high pitch; a thunderclap has a low pitch.

Pitch depends on Frequency. Fast vibrations = High Pitch. Slow vibrations = Low Pitch. When you tighten a guitar string, it vibrates faster, so the pitch goes up.
