A flask uses three physics tricks to keep your tea hot:

  1. Vacuum: There is no air between the double walls, so heat cannot conduct or convect out.
  2. Silver Walls: They reflect heat radiation back into the flask like a mirror.
  3. Cork/Plastic Stopper: Stops hot air closer from rising out (convection).
